On Time Delivery came into existence as Fred’s Delivery Service in 1954, delivering flowers and floral supplies from wholesalers in Pittsburgh to flower shops in Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia.
After expanding our customer base and geography over the next 25 years, we emerged as On Time Delivery Inc. in 1979, winning a contract with Avon Products Inc to service their representatives in Western PA. Since then we have continued to expand by structuring services around the specific needs of the shippers. By creating unique structures for each shipper, we are able to overcome the delivery consistency and flexibility problems that shippers encounter when dealing with general purpose carriers. We deliver your product when You want it there!!
We operate out of 2 strategically placed facilities across Pennsylvania. All facilities are owned or leased by On Time Delivery and have dock and drive-in capabilities and extensive conveyor systems. This allows us to receive loose loaded freight from multiple sources and efficiently sort the product into the appropriate routes in addition to handling standard cross-dock operations. We currently dispatch up to 100 routes per day and make over 700,000 deliveries per year from our multiple locations for over 25 shippers.
Our fees for multiple package and pallet load deliveries are generally 20-60% below General Carrier rates.
We have established strong, partnership relationships with our current shippers and have been recognized by both Avon Products Inc and FedEx Smartpost at a national level for exceeding performance standards.
